A Tour of

the Whitefish Divide

A Major W. R. LOGAN Production

The first edition will feature a world class course, sending you north from Whitefish on a 140 mile loop, with 15k of up and down, 2 mountain summits, 5 mountain passes, a visit to the historic outpost of Polebridge, MT on the west edge of Glacier National Park.

Predominantly utilizing forest service dirt roads, single track and a wee bit of pavement, you will delighted with panoramic views of Glacier National Park, 10 mile climbs and descents ending your day with beer and pigs in a blanket.

Each year will feature a different course, exploring the many diverse geographical areas surrounding the Flathead Valley in the north west corner of Montana, all on dirt.

July 28-29, 2017

Pre-Registration only. Mandatory riders meeting and packet pickup starts at 3PM, race starts at 6AM on Saturday, July 29—both at the Whitefish Bike Retreat.

Course Details

The entire loop is 15,000’ of up and down over 140 miles. For the most part the roads are graded and improved forest service and state dirt roads with a little single track and pavement tossed in.

The Flathead Youth Home

It’s alway good to throw some love to those who help for sake of doing good in the world or those who are less fortunate, without asking for anything in return. When looking to find a beneficiary for the Joe Cosley Pancake Ride we found The Flathead Youth Home. The mission of Youth Homes is “to help every youth feel safe, have a sense of belonging and find a place to call home.” We recognize that in meeting the long-term needs of our youth, we have a social responsibility to strengthen the environment in which they live now and will live in the future. To that extent, we engage and educate our youth in sustainable lifestyles in each home and program.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Make this a proper
Montana roadtrip.

Those visiting from afar will find it easy to find enough riding—and other activities—to make a week (or two) of the trip. Check out the trails, activities, restaurants and more in Whitefish and the Flathead Valley at the resources below.
